Over 30 CrossFit Affliates across the country also did the WOD to help us bring CrossFit to at-risk youth in more cities across America. Such overwhelming support from the CrossFit Community. We're so proud to be a part of it.

If you are a CrossFitter, you are likely very aware of the Reebok CrossFit Open Sectionals competition that is currently taking place at affiliates and home garage gyms around the world.
The CrossFit Games Open Qualifiers is a six week, worldwide competition in the sport of fitness. The Open is the first step in the CrossFit Games season and takes place from March 15 until April 24. There is one workout per week for six weeks, and athletes compete to qualify for the CrossFit Games to determine the Fittest on Earth.
The workouts are varied and no one knows what they will be from week to week until they're announced. All competitors have until the following Sunday night to perform the workout and enter their results online on a customizable leaderboard. All competitors are ranked worldwide for athletes and teams to compare their scores to other athletes and teams.
Some 20,000 plus people have participated in the Open, logging in their scores online each week. In fact, the site received so much traffic the night that the first workout was announced that it crashed.
People are going nuts over this competition and it's quickly turning into a sport in of itself.
It got me thinking the other day what if all this time and energy everyone is putting into competing and posting scores and checking their rankings online into other more important "life" activities and good deeds.
How neat would it be if there was a Life's Leaderboard, where we could go online to see our ranking compared to other people around the world?
Teaching an old person how to squat earns you 2 points. Spending an hour with a troubled kid on their school work earns you 3 points. Giving a friend nutrition advice that saves them from taking a pharmaceutical drug earns you 1 point. The list is endless.
Where would you be ranked on Life's Leaderboard?
*Credit given to Denise Thomas for coining the term, "Life's Leaderboard"
Steve's Club is fortunate to have the support of the key CrossFitters at Reebok - Dave Lipson, Austin Malleolo, Denise Thomas, and of course the backing from Reebok execs who not only believe in CrossFit as a huge market but also are avid CrossFitters themselves.
Reebok is genuinely committed to CrossFit and to giving back to the community. We're extremely thankful for their involvement and our Steve's Club athletes are really excited that a big name like Reebok is signing on to help make their training possible.
In addition to Reebok, we have at least 15 other Affiliates across the country hosting BEAT THE STREETS at their gym. Most Affiliates are doing the WOD on May 14th or 15th - it's a great team WOD for both elite athletes and for beginners. We hope you'll support the cause and help bring CrossFit to at-risk youth.
Suggested Donation $25, all proceeds go to Steve's Club National Program to help start Local Clubs in cities that need them most. For more information go to: http://www.stevesclub.org/beat_the_streets/
